Karen and Colin have been farming in La Jara, Colorado for 30 years. La Jara is in the San Luis Valley where the average rainfall is 7 inches a year. El Sagrado Farm is off the grid, biodynamic, regenerative and certified organic. They bale/harvest 70 acres of alfalfa, and 30 acres of wheat and other grains. The rest of their 320 acres is dryland pasture. They have one of the largest herds of Navajo-Churro Sheep in the US. They have a small market garden and sell the produce locally.
