Dharma's Garden

Afternoon Tour

We are a small neighborhood farm in the middle of Boulder (Colorado) utilizing biodynamic methods and preps (we are not yet Demeter certified) and a unique distribution model that is entirely donation-based. We are owned and operated by a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, with a focus on educating the public and providing meaningful farm experiences to others in our community. We also have a pretty amazing and inspiring story, involving over 600 families in our community coming together to raise over $4.5M to purchase this farm... narrowly saving it from being forever lost to development.

Tour of Biodynamic Systems at Elk Run Farm

Half Day Tour

Elk Run Farm is the demonstration site for the nonprofit, Drylands Agroecology Research. The vision of DAR is to transform dry, abandoned, and marginalized landscapes into lush ecosystems where humans, animals, and spirit can thrive. Specific to Elk Run Farm is the implementation of biodynamic practices. On this land, we have prepared barrel compost and utilized many preparations to spread health and vitality to the plants we tend. Join us for a walk on our land followed by tea and discussion around what we do as earth stewards in this part of Colorado.

Yellow Barn Farm

Morning Tour

Spend the morning enjoying Yellow Barn Farm. Established in 1865, Allen’s Farm was originally an international equestrian center operating as a large-scale event and boarding facility with over 50 horses and 100 riders. We’ve chosen to revitalize this land for low-scale, high-quality food production, community-supported agriculture, and sustainability education. We research, implement, and cultivate practices of regenerative farming, animal management, carbon sequestration, soil health, and dynamic/adaptable organizational structures.

Aspen Moon Farm

Afternoon Tour

Enjoy a tour of our beautiful farm! Aspen Moon Farm started in 2009 with 2.5 acres in Longmont, Colorado. Now we are amazed by the 99 acres in our care with approximately 25 acres in production! We happily serve seasonal Farmer’s Markets in Longmont and Boulder on Saturdays, and offer an abundant Roadside Farmstand, open daily as the season allows. Finally, we are most proud of our CSA program and are so grateful for a wonderful group of annual CSA members (over 450 members) whose kind support keeps the farm open and productive.
